Piggly Wiggly

Piggly Wiggly is a chain of supermarkets based in Memphis, Tennessee. The company mostly operates in the Midwestern and Southern areas of the United States. Its first store was opened in 1916 and was is known for featuring the first self-service grocery. This location is also the pioneer in different familiar features in modern supermarkets, such as shopping carts, individual price marking, and checkout stands. Currently, Piggly Wiggly has more than 500 stores in 18 states, mainly in smaller towns and cities.
