Started as a produce market in Minnesota in 1921, Coborn’s is a chain of employee-owned supermarkets. It currently has more than 135 retail locations in 6 states, including Michigan, Illinois, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. The company is trying to acquire other small grocery chains and build new stores throughout the Midwest.
